Öküz Mehmet Pasha Caravanserai

Built in 1618, this caravanserai is the most important historical building in Kuşadası. Today it serves as a boutique hotel.

The Öküz Mehmet Pasha Caravanserai is a historic building commissioned by Grand Vizier Öküz Mehmet Pasha in 1618. Originally a lodging place for merchants during the Ottoman period, it now serves as a restored boutique hotel. The caravanserai is a typical example of Ottoman architecture. Its courtyard plan, stone walls, and arched passages reflect the lifestyle of the era. The cafe and restaurant in the inner courtyard offer a dining experience in a historical atmosphere. Located in the Kuşadası port area, it is one of the city's most important tourist attractions. It offers magnificent photo opportunities, especially during sunset hours. From Eliada Hotel, the caravanserai is a 15-minute walk. It can be included in your port area walking tour.
